More active than ever: generation 50 plus

Age is something special and individual. You have your own character, built from many experiences in life. To keep your body and soul in good shape, try to develop an active lifestyle. Now is the time to take advantage of the fact that the kids have left the house and your working schedule has become less stressful. Use your strength and power to enjoy your well-deserved spare time. To make it as active as possible, be aware of the following:

  • Try to integrate some sports in your every day life. What do you think about Nordic walking, water aerobics, sailing or golf? Try it, you will meet new people, develop an unknown interest and keep your body fit.

  • Healthy nutrition is one of the most important aspects of your physical condition. Don’t forget to drink at least two litres of water every day. Also, five portions of fresh vegetables and fruits, on an every day basis, will support your active lifestyle. Cooked, grilled, baked or raw – the taste is just great!

  • Socialising is fun! Meet new people at a cooking class, invite friends for a game night at your house, take part in computer or language courses or even try a university class for retirees. You will be surprised how much you can still learn!

  • Keep your mind sharp: Reading magazines, watching the news, playing brain games and discussing current events with friends and family will help keep you up-to-date.

  • Travelling is a wonderful thing. Visit cities or countries that you haven’t ever been to before. But take some wellness and relaxing breaks every other day, so you will have even more energy for further sights.

If you find the perfect mixture of activities, your life will be fulfilled and in total balance.
