Exercise step by step
Objective: Strengthening the upper
spine to promote upright posture while
standing and sitting.
Starting Position: Stand on your knees
with your upper body balanced as far as
Movement: Move your arms to right
angles to your torso, pulling your
shoulder blades together. Stretch your
arms back alongside your torso, one
at a time and then back into starting
Repeat 3 sets of 10.
Before you begin any of these exercise routines, be sure to check with your doctor. Once you have your doctor’s approval, begin exercising slowly and stop if you feel any pain or discomfort. Make sure to rest if you feel you are overexerting yourself.
